Quiet Impact Inc. Trademark Usage Policy:

This Trademark Usage Policy will show you the proper usage of Quiet Impact trademarks (“Marks”) and logos. The terms of this section apply to the entire Quiet Impact (Character-in-Action) Web site.

Use the Correct Symbol:

When using a Quiet Impact Mark in text form (“Quiet Impact Mark”), use the correct ® or ™ symbol.

The basic rule is if you are using a Quiet Impact Mark that is registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office, the ® symbol should be displayed, and if the Quiet Impact Mark is not yet registered, the ™ symbol should be displayed. Once a Quiet Impact Mark is correctly attributed on a document or web page, it is not ordinarily necessary to mark subsequent appearances of the trademark in the same piece. Every appearance of a Quiet Impact Mark in stylized form or design (“Quiet Impact logo”) should also appear with the appropriate ® or ™ symbol, and may be used only under license from Quiet Impact Inc.

Do Not Alter Quiet Impact Marks or Quiet Impact Logos:

When using a Quiet Impact Mark, never vary the spelling, add or delete hyphens, make one word two, or use a possessive or plural form of the Quiet Impact Mark. When using a Quiet Impact logo, never modify the design, add or delete any words, change any colors or proportions. Only Quiet Impact products and services may be used in conjunction with a Quiet Impact logo.

Quiet Impact Product Names:

No third party logo or mark can be used in conjunction with the Quiet Impact Marks for Quiet Impact product names. In other words, do not combine the Quiet Impact Marks with third party trademarks.

Wherever a Quiet Impact Mark or Quiet Impact logo appears with another company trademark or logo, the Quiet Impact Mark or Quiet Impact logo must be at least as large as the trademark or logo of the other company.

Using Footnotes for Correct Attribution:

It is the policy of Quiet Impact to attribute Quiet Impact Mark and Quiet Impact logo use by placing the information in a footnote as follows:

Examples: “_________ is a trademark or a registered trademark of Quiet Impact Inc.

There is no “boilerplate” footnote. The black space should contain a list of all Quiet Impact Marks and Quiet Impact logos that appear in that particular piece. If all Quiet Impact Marks and Quiet Impact logos that appear are registered trademarks, then the footnote should indicate as such. Footnotes should always be complete sentences, and ordinarily appear on the copyright page, on the last page of the material.

Power Point and Other Presentations:

Quiet Impact Marks and Quiet Impact logos should always be attributed with the proper symbol and footnoted on all presentations that are displayed to the public (sales, trade shows, seminars, web sites, etc.) If a presentation is used internally, the Quiet Impact Marks and Quiet Impact logos should be attributed but need not be footnoted.

Third Party Licensors:

Some Quiet Impact products include technology used under license from third party licensors. You may not use any such third party trademark without express permission from the owner.

Reservation of Rights:

Elizabeth L. Hamilton is the owner of all right, title, and interest in the Quiet Impact Marks and Quiet Impact logos. No person or entity may reproduce or use (or authorize the reproduction or use of) the Quiet Impact Marks or Quiet Impact logos in any manner other than expressly authorized by Elizabeth L. Hamilton. Unauthorized use of Quiet Impact Marks or Quiet Impact logos is strictly prohibited.

Elizabeth L. Hamilton may, at her sole discretion, modify the Quiet Impact Marks or Quiet Impact logos at any time. Please refer to the Quiet Impact Mark Chart periodically to ensure your compliance. In order to assure compliance and quality of control, Elizabeth L. Hamilton may request that you provide samples of any marketing, advertising, or other material that includes the Quiet Impact Marks or Quiet Impact logos.
